Role overview

Project delivery and coordination

• Lead project execution and coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning.
• Monitor GIS, transformers, switchgear, protection and control systems, SCADA, cables, and auxiliary-system installation and commissioning.
• Plan schedules, milestones, manpower, and resources; monitor progress, cost, quality, safety, and performance.
• Coordinate clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, engineering teams, and internal stakeholders.
• Identify and address project risks, delays, technical issues, and interface challenges; ensure subcontractor compliance.
• Review reports, technical submissions, and documentation; hold project meetings and communicate progress.
• Support variations, claims, change orders, and project correspondence; deliver energization, final documentation, and handover.

Qualifications and required experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Engineering.
• 12–15 years of experience in high-voltage substation projects, including strong 380kV substation project management experience.
• Strong knowledge of 380kV GIS/AIS substations, HV systems, substation equipment, project controls, contracts, HSE, and quality.

Required capabilities

• Experience in project planning, execution, monitoring, testing, commissioning, and handover.
• Strong subcontractor and stakeholder management, leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple project interfaces and work to demanding project schedules.

Preferred experience and credentials

• EPC contractor experience and Saudi Electricity Company project experience are highly preferred.
• Saudi Council of Engineers registration is preferred for candidates working in Saudi Arabia.
• SEC 380kV project experience and complete EPC substation delivery in Saudi Arabia or the GCC are preferred.
