Role overview

Project and engineering delivery

• Plan engineering project controls, specifications, schedules, cost estimates, production, transportation, installation, testing, and commissioning as applicable.
• Monitor progress and resolve operational problems to minimize delays; identify and gather project resources.
• Provide tendering and execution support for customer projects; prepare primary drawings and bills of quantities for engineered GIS items.
• Provide technical leadership for substations and manage project engineering activities.
• Prepare specifications, check supplier offers, and coordinate procurement of materials, equipment, and services.
• Lead customer discussions, handle site queries, and participate in customer and project review meetings.
• Support apprentices, entry-level engineers, technicians, and support teams with design questions.
• Review deliverables and procurement documents for current and voltage transformers before client submission.
• Develop GIS solutions to meet project requirements while reducing lead time and cost; prioritize timely delivery, quality, and optimized solutions.
• Interface with civil, steel, and application engineers and comply with applicable regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Background and requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 8–10 years of relevant experience in gas-insulated switchgear (GIS) roles.
• Spoken and written proficiency in English and Arabic is required.
