Field Service Responsibilities

• Carry out transformer, OLTC and related-equipment installation, testing and commissioning at customer sites and Hitachi Energy projects.
• Participate in site activities and PGTR projects; undertake other assigned transformer-related work.
• Coordinate tool requirements and safely use and care for test equipment and tools.
• Perform compartment assembly, minor fabrication, troubleshooting and defect rectification; advise whether repairs require factory or workshop work.
• Learn and operate equipment and tools used for transformer and OLTC testing, maintenance and PGTR service.
• Coordinate with project management and follow project requirements and customer-site regulations.
• Lead contractors or subcontractors, coordinate resources with customers and back-office teams, and obtain customer sign-off on completed work.
• Prepare site reports, activity plans, resource requirements and method statements when required.
• Comply with internal and external rules and report safety or integrity incidents.

Background

• A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Requires 3–5 years of experience in transformer installation, testing and commissioning, OLTC repair and maintenance, protection and control, monitoring devices, and transformer maintenance.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English and Arabic is required.
