Role Overview
Prepare estimates for high-value tenders and coordinate discipline-specific estimation activities with Proposal Managers.
Prepare and review compiled estimates and tender portions for the relevant discipline.
Responsibilities
- Review tender documents for discrepancies and supervise estimators and senior estimators.
- Finalize fabrication and erection man-hours, paint areas and specialty items.
- Review material lists and specifications and identify supply-list shortfalls.
- Price painting materials, labor, equipment, passive fireproofing and coating.
- Check that procurement quotations meet specifications.
- Prepare installation, testing and commissioning lists, including spares and special tools.
- Calculate unit-rate costs from man-hours and material prices, and prepare subcontract bid tabs.
- Assist with tender, project and proposal matters.
Qualifications
- Diploma in a related discipline or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering is an advantage.
- At least nine years of multidisciplinary estimation coordination experience in the oil and gas industry.
