About the role

Dune Strategy is a Dubai management consulting firm advising international investors, family groups, and sovereign-linked entities on GCC commercial decisions.

The firm works on market entry, regional expansion, transactions, and joint ventures, with a deliberately small engagement portfolio.

The Project Administration Intern supports live engagements through research, analysis, and preparation of partner materials.

The internship is full-time and on-site with the Dubai team.

What you will do

  • Gather market intelligence and build profiles of companies, family groups, and counterparties.
  • Track ownership structures and relationships that may not appear in public filings.
  • Follow regulatory and policy developments and assess their impact on client plans.
  • Draft concise briefing notes, meeting packs, and internal summaries.
  • Maintain engagement files and track open items.
  • Prepare sector overviews and explain what numbers and reporting indicate.

What the firm is looking for

  • Able to analyze complicated situations, identify relevant information, and write actionable conclusions.
  • Comfortable with uncertain research and willing to state when evidence is limited.
  • Precise writing, practical judgment, good questions, and adaptability to shifting priorities are important.
  • Likely a final-year student or recent graduate in finance, economics, business, law, political science, or a related field.

Helpful background

  • Coursework or projects in corporate finance, macroeconomics, or regional policy are useful.
  • Research, report writing, or organizing information experience from study, internships, student groups, or independent projects is useful.
  • Arabic is helpful but not required.
  • Interest in how commercial and political realities interact in the region is valued.

What the role offers

  • Direct exposure to senior partners involved in commercial conversations and decisions.
  • Insight into how market entry, transactions, and joint ventures are assessed.
  • Exposure to sovereign capital priorities and family ownership dynamics.
  • Feedback on research and writing from people who use the work.
  • A small team environment with visible work and direct communication.

Working at Dune Strategy

The firm keeps a limited number of active engagements to provide senior attention and focus on client outcomes.

The team works in a flat, direct manner and expects interns to speak up when something does not add up.
