About the company

Dune Strategy is a Dubai-based management consulting firm advising international investors, family groups, and sovereign-linked entities on market entry, regional expansion, transactions, and joint ventures.

The firm describes its work as small in volume and close in nature, with partners directly involved in client decisions.

Role overview

Works alongside partners on client relationships and the commercial analysis that supports them.

Permanent, full-time hybrid role based in Dubai.

What you will do

  • Research clients, counterparties, and family ownership structures, and keep the information current.
  • Map decision-makers and influential stakeholders for transactions and market-entry questions.
  • Prepare partner-meeting briefs with relevant history, numbers, and open questions.
  • Track regulatory processes from first enquiry to approval, noting timelines and potential delays.
  • Write concise partner notes that explain a position, its reasoning, and unresolved issues.
  • Maintain relationship records and follow-ups.

What the employer is looking for

  • Basic grounding in finance or commercial analysis through studies, an internship, a placement, or a side project.
  • Clear written English and the ability to write a concise, well-supported point.
  • An organized approach and attention to detail, including details that affect numbers.
  • Comfort with incomplete information and asking better questions.
  • Pragmatism about the client impact of decisions and discretion with sensitive information.

Helpful background

  • Interest in finance, economics, or politics and a habit of following current affairs is helpful.
  • Arabic or another language spoken across the region is useful but never required.
  • Exposure to real estate, industrials, financial services, or family-held businesses is helpful.
  • Prior research experience through a university project, report, or internship is helpful.

What the employer offers

  • Hybrid working with time in the office and elsewhere.
  • Direct exposure to partners involved in client conversations and live engagements.
  • A small portfolio of active work where research is read and used.
  • Opportunity to grow into client-facing responsibility as judgment develops.

Success in the role

After a year, the employee is expected to run partner-meeting briefings independently, identify commercial implications early, ask useful questions when information is thin, and earn counterparties’ trust.
