A Production Manager with a workshop background, who will be responsible for the overall management and control of workshop manufacturing, planning, installation, and Project Team.
Manage the maintenance and effective use of all machinery and equipment to ensure most efficient and highest quality work methods are achieved.
Strict Implementation of health and safety systems.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Functional Responsibilities
- Responsible for a group of Production Supervisors and Manufacturing Engineers.
- Work closely with operations leadership to ensure that the business goals are implemented and achieved.
- Ensure employees are adequately trained and work in a safe and environmentally sound manner.
- Execute business decisions in a fair and equitable manner, support regular toolbox meetings, and provide two-way communications, consistent application of policy/work rules, clear, consistent communication of organizational goals and objectives.
- Responsibility for driving critical safety, performance, and quality metrics.
- Responsibility to track critical line issues and provide resolution to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.
- Partners with the Head of Projects to establish appropriate budget goals aligned with external product demand and internal strategy.
- Conducts appropriate financial reviews to monitor business performance.
- Formulates and recommends to Head of Projects and senior leadership both long- and short-range objectives, goals and policies for the business in terms of product costs, delivery cycles, quality, manpower requirements, facilities and such other subjects which may have a major impact on the profits and growth of the Production or the Company.
- Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
- Review operations and confer with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing problems.
- Review processing schedules or production orders considering budgetary limitations and time constraints.
- Maintain an awareness of legislative and regulatory requirements and ensure conformance to all quality, health, and safety regulations.
- Ensure proper project handover governance is implemented prior to project ‘GO LIVE ‘date
People Development
- Develop innovative teams who can quickly adapt to as well as create new opportunities.
- Coach and guide teams to perform to their optimal potential, produce highest standards of output.
- Engage in performance evaluation of direct team members and review the indirect span of control to ensure efficiency and consistency in assessing performance.
- Promote ongoing training and development and up skill key talent to larger roles.
- Provide a leadership avenue for the teams to be able to escalate their concerns to enable prompt resolution of the same.
Job Requirements
- Overall experience between 7 to 10 years and at least 3+ years of project management experience, including tracking and planning projects and working with business stakeholders within a cross-functional matrix environment.
- Experience in retail store fit outs of high-end luxury store
- Preferably has a PMP (Project Management Professional) certificate.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree, preferably in the field of Engineering
