Position overview

The Product Tools and AI Automation Developer will build and operate the internal AI layer and data structures supporting Croesus’s Product organization.

The role focuses on intelligent automation, agentic engineering, test-data management, integrations, and tools that improve product-team efficiency.

Core pillars

  • Create value through code by writing code, designing prompts, orchestrating agents, and building integrations.
  • Standardize and converge by turning process gaps and repetitive practices into tools, templates, and workflows.
  • Place humans at the center by working with internal users to understand friction points, co-build solutions, and support skill development.

Product AI tooling

  • Design, deliver, and maintain AI agents, skills, and automations used by Product team members.
  • Build integrations between existing systems and AI platforms.
  • Establish quality, reliability, and security evaluation frameworks and iterate from prototypes to adopted tools.

Datasets and product practices

  • Maintain the plugin architecture used for mock-data injection and design source files for realistic test-data generation.
  • Generate datasets tailored to internal needs.
  • Ensure code quality, maintain tool inventories, document architecture, manage versioning and deployment, and report usage and impact.
  • Ensure security and compliance across deployed tools.

Adoption and collaboration

  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Product Owners, Business Analysts, Technical Writers, and UX Designers to identify efficiency opportunities.
  • Lead demonstrations, gather feedback, adjust tools, and contribute functional working tools to the organization’s AI culture.

Academic background and experience

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience, is required.
  • At least 5 years of software development experience and 1 to 4 years of AI-tool-building experience are required.
  • A portfolio or concrete projects demonstrating hands-on proficiency is required.

Technical skills

  • Required technical skills include prompt engineering, language-model API integration, RAG architectures, and response quality and safety evaluation.
  • Required programming skills include Python, C#, JSON, YAML, and CSV data manipulation.
  • Required knowledge includes relational databases, SQL, Git or similar version-control tools, and security and data governance.
  • Experience with agentic architectures, multi-agent workflows, function calling, MCP, or wealth management is an asset.

Communication and working style

  • Strong French proficiency is mandatory because French is used for internal meetings and interviews.
  • Excellent written and oral communication in French and English is required.
  • The role values autonomy, resourcefulness, creativity, rapid learning, analytical thinking, user focus, and measurable impact.

Other information

  • The position offers an annual salary and corporate profit-sharing plan.
  • Benefits include hybrid work from Laval or Montreal offices, training and development, group insurance, group RRSP, and other workplace programs.

Workplace

  • The position is hybrid and based at the Laval or Montreal offices.
