Procurement Officer/ Eng - Landscaping

Overview

Vendor Sourcing & Supplier Management

• Research, identify, and evaluate potential vendors and suppliers for materials, equipment, and subcontracted services.
• Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to ensure cost efficiency, quality, and timely delivery.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with approved suppliers and subcontractors.
• Review and evaluate supplier quotations, proposals, and commercial offers.
• Prepare detailed vendor comparison statements and coordinate approvals with Finance and Accounts before final purchase decisions.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms, and delivery schedules to achieve optimal commercial value.
• Coordinate with engineering, project, and operations teams to understand technical requirements and ensure accurate procurement.
• Monitor supplier performance and maintain an updated approved vendor database.

Procurement Operations

• Manage day-to-day procurement activities in line with company policies and procedures.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders accurately and ensure timely processing.
• Track purchase orders and follow up to ensure on-time delivery of materials and services.
• Monitor inventory levels and raise procurement requests to prevent shortages or project delays.
• Ensure all purchased materials comply with approved specifications and quality standards.
• Coordinate with warehouse and site teams for proper receipt, storage, and distribution of materials.
• Resolve procurement issues such as delays, shortages, damaged goods, or supplier discrepancies.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate procurement records, including vendor details, quotations, contracts, purchase orders, and pricing data.
• Update procurement systems with order status, delivery schedules, and invoice tracking.
• Ensure timely submission of supplier documentation to Finance and Accounts for payment processing.
• Prepare procurement reports including cost summaries, savings analysis, and budget tracking updates.
• Monitor procurement KPIs and recommend improvements for cost efficiency and process optimization.
• Maintain proper filing and documentation of all procurement-related correspondence.

& Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
• Preferably experience in landscaping, construction, engineering, or related industries.
• Strong negotiation, supplier management, and commercial evaluation skills.
• Good understanding of budgeting, cost control, and procurement best practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
• Experience with ERP or procurement software is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
• UAE experience is preferred.
• Immediate joiners will be given preference.
