The Procurement Manager is responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement activities for raw materials, finished goods, packaging materials, and trading items to ensure uninterrupted supply, cost optimization, and operational efficiency in line with company business objectives.
The role focuses on strategic sourcing, supplier management, procurement planning, inventory support, and cross-functional coordination to support sales, factory operations, product availability, and new product development across local and international supply markets.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute procurement plans aligned with sales forecasts, inventory requirements, and operational needs.
- Manage sourcing and procurement activities for raw materials, finished goods, packaging materials, and trading items.
- Build and maintain relationships with local and international suppliers to ensure supply continuity and competitive pricing.
- Lead supplier negotiations related to pricing, contracts, payment terms, and supply agreements.
- Coordinate with overseas suppliers on production schedules, shipment planning, and documentation requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels, shipment status, procurement costs, and supply risks to ensure business continuity.
- Coordinate with Supply Chain, Factory, Warehouse, Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Quality teams to support operational requirements.
- Support sourcing activities for new product launches and product development initiatives.
- Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions when required.
- Lead and manage the procurement team to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with company policies.
- Ensure compliance with procurement procedures, food safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across procurement operations and supplier management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Procurement, or a related field.
- 7–10 years of experience in procurement or supply chain operations within the FMCG industry.
- Experience in frozen food or perishable product categories is required.
- Experience managing international suppliers and import procurement operations.
- Professional certifications in Procurement or Supply Chain Management are an advantage.
- UAE FMCG market experience is preferred.
