The role focuses on sourcing materials, managing suppliers, negotiating prices, and ensuring timely availability of quality materials at competitive prices.
Key responsibilities
- Source and procure joinery materials, building materials, hardware, fittings, and other project-related requirements.
- Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules to achieve cost savings.
- Prepare and process purchase orders in line with project requirements.
- Coordinate with project, production, warehouse, and site teams to ensure timely material delivery.
- Obtain and compare quotations from multiple suppliers.
- Monitor stock levels, material availability, and delivery timelines.
- Ensure purchased materials meet quality standards and project specifications.
- Maintain procurement records, supplier databases, and purchase documentation.
- Follow up with suppliers regarding orders, deliveries, and material shortages.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Procurement Executive or Purchase Officer in the joinery, interior fit-out, or building materials industry is mandatory.
- Good knowledge of joinery materials, including MDF, plywood, laminates, veneers, timber, hardware, accessories, and general building materials.
- Strong supplier network and negotiation skills.
- Good communication, coordination, and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple project requirements.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and procurement or ERP systems.
- Candidates who can join immediately will be given preference.
Pay
- AED 5,000–7,000 per month.
