Key responsibilities
- Organize and manage procurement for projects, adhering to company and client requirements, policies, and procedures.
- Coordinate with departments and vendors on materials, equipment, and services procurement.
- Develop procurement plans and execution strategies with Project Procurement Managers and Coordinators.
- Manage RFQs, commercial evaluations, purchase order awards and administration, and delivery close-out.
- Maintain a commercially sound vendor base, evaluate vendor performance, and keep an Approved Vendor List.
- Monitor market conditions, price trends, and delivery schedules; support bid evaluations, cost controls, and cash flow planning.
- Provide procurement reports and perform tasks as directed by the Project Manager or Department Head.
- Identify training needs for the procurement team and conduct performance appraisals.
- Manage procurement in the ERP system, lead system upgrades, and support compliance with ISO 9001, 45001, and 14001 standards and HSE responsibilities.
Required knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Experience establishing and managing a functional procurement team, workflows, and operating procedures.
- Strong knowledge of procuring technical equipment and materials for the EPC industry.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and timely decision-making under pressure.
- ERP environment experience, effective negotiation skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Ability to function as a Purchasing Agent and Subcontract Administrator.
- Six years of procurement experience and six years of oil and gas experience are required.
Pay
- Pay is AED 6,000–10,000 per month.
