Procurement Engineer

Job Summary

1.Sourcing & SCM Tracking

• Prepare and maintain a detailed procurement schedule/tracker linked directly to the master project programme.
• Track long-lead items such as elevators, RMU, transformers, HVAC, fire alarm, pumps, aluminum, sanitary ware, tiles, pergolas, pool equipment, and smart locks.
• Follow up with local and international suppliers to guarantee on-time delivery commitments.

2.RFQs & Commercial Comparisons

• Issue RFQs and obtain highly competitive quotations from established vendors.
• Prepare technical-commercial comparisons for review by the management team.
• Coordinate closely with the storekeeper and site engineering teams for material delivery and reconciliation.

3.Material Approvals

• Manage material submittals and drive quick turnaround approval times with the consultant.
• Maximize procurement cost savings while maintaining compliance with project specifications.

Qualifications And Skills

• **Experience:**
• 5–8 years of UAE construction procurement experience is mandatory.
• **Project Track Record:**
• Solid background handling MEP, finishing packages, and specialist long-lead items for building projects.
• **Technical Skills:**
• Strong technical understanding of building material specifications and material approval workflows.
• **Soft Skills:**
• Excellent negotiation, commercial reporting, and supplier management skills.
• **Network Asset:**
• Possess an extensive, active supplier and manufacturer network within the UAE.
