Job Summary
The Architectural Engineer / Design Coordinator is responsible for reviewing, coordinating, and managing architectural shop drawings, space planning, and finishing details for Project C34 – The Bay Residence.
Working under the main contractor execution model , this role ensures complete design alignment across structural, MEP, and interior finishing packages while securing quick consultant approvals to maintain fast-track site progress.
1-Design Coordination & Review
- Review architectural shop drawings, detailed construction layouts, and material submittals against contract documents and specifications.
- Coordinate seamlessly with the structural and MEP engineering teams to identify, track, and resolve spatial, structural, or service clashes early.
- Work closely with the BIM/Shop Drawing Coordinator to ensure all layout revisions are fully updated, clash-free, and practical for site execution.
2.Consultant Approvals & Authority Alignment
- Prepare and submit technical design packages to the consultant, proactively monitoring and driving quick approval turnarounds.
- Support the Authority Coordinator to ensure architectural design documentation complies with Yas Island master developer (Miral/Parsons) guidelines and Abu Dhabi Municipality regulations.
3.Site Technical Support
- Provide the site construction management team with clear, updated Issued for Construction (IFC) documents and clarified design details.
- Assist in reviewing finishing subcontractor shop drawings (e.g., aluminum, glazing, joinery, stonework) to ensure premium aesthetic and quality compliance.
Qualifications And Skills
- **Experience:**
- 5–8 years of experience as an Architectural Engineer or Design Coordinator within the construction industry.
- **Project Track Record:**
- Proven track record working on high-rise residential building projects.
- **Technical Skills:**
- Exceptional proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit/BIM software, and a deep understanding of high-end residential finishing details, space planning, and material specs.
- **Soft Skills:**
- Meticulous eye for detail, strong organizational habits, and the communication skills necessary to bridge design and fast-track site execution.
- **Location Asset:**
- Active UAE building construction experience is required; familiarity with Abu Dhabi design approval workflows is a major advantage.
