Procurement Engineer
About This Role
Job Summary:
We are looking for a qualified MEP Procurement Officer / Purchaser to handle the sourcing, purchasing, and coordination of materials, equipment, and subcontractor requirements for MEP projects. The candidate must have good market knowledge, supplier coordination skills, and the ability to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement in line with project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source and purchase MEP materials, equipment, and services as per project requirements.
- Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors and prepare comparison statements.
- Negotiate prices, delivery terms, and payment terms with vendors.
- Issue purchase orders and follow up on deliveries to ensure timely supply to site.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, storekeepers, and site teams regarding material requirements.
- Verify material specifications, quantities, and compliance with approved submittals and project standards.
- Maintain procurement records, supplier databases, purchase logs, and delivery status reports.
- Monitor stock levels and support inventory planning when required.
- Resolve supply delays, material discrepancies, and vendor-related issues.
- Support cost control by ensuring competitive pricing and proper procurement planning.
- Build and maintain good relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and subcontractors.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company procedures and project budgets.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
