Role purpose
Carry out coconut processing, grating, packing, and handling safely and efficiently while meeting food safety, hygiene, quality, and production standards.
Department: Processing Unit. Reports to the Processing Unit Supervisor or Production Supervisor.
Coconut processing and packing
- Receive and inspect coconuts; peel, clean, cut, and prepare them for grating.
- Operate coconut grating machines safely and correctly; ensure the quantity and quality of grated coconut.
- Remove damaged, spoiled, or unsuitable coconut pieces.
- Weigh and pack products; seal, label, and store finished products according to production requirements.
- Handle products to prevent contamination or damage and maintain cold-chain requirements where applicable.
Hygiene, quality, and production
- Maintain personal hygiene and wear required PPE or uniform; clean and sanitize machines, tools, tables, floors, and work areas.
- Follow food safety and hygiene procedures and prevent cross-contamination.
- Check coconut freshness, colour, smell, and quality; report quality issues, contamination, machine problems, and wastage.
- Follow FIFO/FEFO procedures as instructed; complete daily production targets and assist with other processing activities.
- Minimize product wastage and use raw materials efficiently.
Safety and reporting
- Operate machinery only after receiving proper instructions or training; follow workplace health and safety procedures.
- Report accidents, injuries, unsafe conditions, or equipment defects immediately; keep emergency exits and work areas clear.
- Assist with recording production quantities, wastage, and packing details; report daily production status and maintain required records.

- Work location is in person in Dubai, UAE.
