Privacy Risk & Compliance Officer
Role Overview
The role supports and oversees privacy, risk and compliance frameworks across the UK business.

The postholder works with HR, Recruitment, Operations, IT, Procurement, Legal, Business Development and Account Management.

The role supports and oversees privacy, risk and compliance frameworks across the UK business.
It provides oversight, guidance and assurance across data privacy, regulatory compliance, operational risk and internal controls.
The postholder works with HR, Recruitment, Operations, IT, Procurement, Legal, Business Development and Account Management.
The role reports into the country management structure and has direct reporting relationships with regional privacy, risk and compliance leaders.
Privacy and data protection
- Oversee privacy requirements, employee privacy notices and consent documentation, and monitor personal data processing activities.
- Support compliance with GDPR and applicable data protection legislation and act as a contact for privacy queries, reviews and audits.
- Maintain complete Records of Processing in OneTrust, including controller and processor records, and review new or amended processing activities.
- Conduct quality reviews and challenge incomplete or inaccurate records.
Risk management
- Lead implementation and maintenance of the Risk Management Framework and identify, assess, monitor and report business risks.
- Maintain risk registers and support risk mitigation and remediation plans.
- Review controls, recommend improvements and escalate significant risk events through governance processes.
- Report on risk and controls to the Global Risk Team and promote risk awareness and accountability.
Compliance and governance
- Support the Global Compliance Framework and monitor relevant regulatory and legislative developments.
- Identify non-compliance and control weaknesses and support corrective actions.
- Support GDPR, BCR and other privacy and compliance audits and mandatory training.
- Prepare management information and reports for senior leadership and global privacy, risk and compliance teams.
Contracts, vendors and client support
- Work with Account Management, Business Development and Legal on privacy and compliance provisions in client contracts, amendments and negotiations.
- Support client privacy, risk and compliance due diligence and provide contractual compliance updates.
- Oversee vendor due diligence, partner with procurement, review questionnaires and ensure checks are complete before agreements are executed.
- Support client bids, pre-sale discussions, new-business go-live and privacy, risk and compliance guidance during mobilisation and implementation.
