Qualifications and experience
- Candidates should hold or be pursuing ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualifications and have recent, relevant finance experience.
- Strong IT skills in Excel, PowerPoint and ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics or SAP are essential.

Financial control and month-end
- Approve accounts payable invoices, focusing on public sector client costs; support AP and AR write-offs, adjustments and payment approvals.
- Complete accruals, provisions, reconciliations and controls, including passthrough costs.
- Handle reallocations and cost attribution and develop an in-depth understanding of public sector client gross margin.
Reporting and collaboration
- Prepare ONS statistical reporting and own public sector open-book reporting, adapting the model to client requirements.
- Work with management accounts and shared services teams, including on O2C and P2P cycle impacts on reporting.
- Build relationships with public sector operations and commercial account teams.
Systems, compliance and governance
- Support Chart of Accounts control, maintain process documentation and drive automation and continuous improvement.
- Support audit activities and maintain policy governance.
- Monitor tax impacts, including VAT, and flag potential tax issues to support HMRC and internal compliance.
