Work arrangement

  • The role is designated onsite, with the expectation of primarily working from an HPE office.

Role overview

The role supports engineering development and implementation of products or services through complex, longer-term, cross-functional programs.

The management scope includes technical leadership, cross-functional initiatives, and mentoring.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multi-function programs and teams driving engineering development and implementation for products or services.
  • Set program strategy, budgets, resource plans, and requirements.
  • Manage supporting teams and development partners, align programs with unit strategy, and own overall program profit and loss.
  • Communicate progress, escalations, and issue analyses to stakeholders.
  • Work with business, manufacturing, and development partners to improve products, processes, and practices and manage costs.
  • Integrate new technologies and quality initiatives into manufacturing engineering work.
  • Review program plans for compliance and improve management quality and results.
  • Mentor less-experienced staff and share knowledge.

Education and experience

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Business Management, Engineering, Computer Sciences, or equivalent.
  • Typically 10+ years of experience.
  • PMP/PMI certification is preferred.

Knowledge and skills

  • Experience designing and developing tools and software for planning, managing, and tracking project results.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, business acumen, organizational strategy understanding, and cross-business-unit program management experience.
  • Experience communicating with internal and external stakeholders and directing matrixed teams and resources.
  • Innovation demonstrated through development of technical, engineering, or manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and mastery of English.
