WSP seeks a Principal / Associate Landscape Architect to provide design and team leadership in its Landscape Design Studio.
The role shapes creative, sustainable landscape solutions across major Middle East projects and combines design leadership, technical expertise, client engagement, and multidisciplinary delivery.
Responsibilities
- Lead design vision and delivery for large-scale landscape architecture and public realm projects from concept through implementation.
- Provide technical and design leadership across multidisciplinary teams.
- Develop landscape concepts, masterplans, and public realm strategies suited to environmental, cultural, and client requirements.
- Champion design excellence, innovation, and sustainability through all project stages.
- Guide and mentor Landscape Architects, Urban Designers, and Junior Designers.
- Manage client relationships and advise on landscape architecture and public realm matters.
- Lead design workshops, presentations, and stakeholder engagements.
- Drive delivery against quality, programme, and commercial objectives.
- Collaborate with architects, planners, engineers, environmental specialists, and other disciplines across WSP's global network.
- Contribute to business development, bids, competitions, and client pursuits; support studio growth across the Middle East.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture or a related discipline.
- 12+ years of professional experience in leading international landscape architecture, urban design, or multidisciplinary consultancies.
- Strong Middle East experience across landscape architecture, public realm, and masterplanning developments.
- Proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams and delivery of large-scale, high-profile projects.
- Strong conceptual design, hand-sketching, visual communication, and digital design capability.
- Expertise in design development, project delivery, and client management.
- Knowledge of sustainable landscape design principles and best practices.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Rhino, Lumion, Enscape, and other relevant design software.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred qualification
- Chartered, registered, or professionally accredited status is advantageous.
