Pricing Specialist - Freight Forwarding

Job purpose

Pricing and coordination responsibilities

• Review pricing requests from Sales, KAM, and Customer Service; source rates from shipping lines, airlines, agents, trucking companies, co-loaders, and logistics partners.
• Prepare air, ocean, and project cargo quotations; update Salesforce CRM details and assign opportunities to the relevant owner.
• Handle customer and overseas partner quotations when required, and issue routing orders after business is confirmed.
• Maintain competitive rates across air and ocean trade lanes; monitor competitor pricing and market trends.
• Maintain partner relationships and coordinate pricing processes with Sales, KAM, Operations, and Customer Service.
• Keep Sales updated on agents, rate changes, market developments, and pricing strategies; report pricing and performance to the Manager – Pricing.

Minimum qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in freight forwarding or logistics pricing.
• Practical experience pricing air freight, ocean freight, and project cargo; experience dealing with carriers, overseas agents, vendors, and logistics service providers.
• A professional qualification in logistics, supply chain, freight forwarding, or a related field is an advantage.

Knowledge and skills

• Strong knowledge of freight forwarding and logistics operations, air and ocean freight pricing, and trade lanes.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills; good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; CRM or pricing system experience such as Salesforce is preferred.

Pay

• AED 8,000 per month.
