About the role

Planning and delivery coordination

• Maintain integrated delivery plans with milestones, dependencies, accountabilities, and reporting arrangements.
• Coordinate cross-functional workstreams, assess slippage, and agree recovery actions with owners.
• Support mobilisation by setting up governance calendars, reporting tools, responsibility matrices, and delivery controls.

Reporting and decision support

• Consolidate project and portfolio updates; challenge incomplete or inconsistent inputs and produce management reports.
• Analyse schedule, budget, resource, and deliverable performance and present implications, options, and recommendations.
• Prepare steering committee materials, decision papers, and follow-up records; manage complete and timely reporting submissions.
• Maintain accurate timelines, decisions, actions, governance records, dashboards, and KPI tracking; highlight variances.
• Use AI and digital tools to accelerate drafting while independently verifying and challenging outputs.

Risk, change, and governance

• Facilitate risk and issue reviews, monitor mitigations, and escalate unresolved matters according to thresholds.
• Coordinate change requests and record scope, schedule, cost, and resource impacts for approval.
• Maintain governance and assurance records and support reviews, audits, and closure assessments.
• Maintain RAID logs and identify dependency risks across initiatives for early escalation.

Resources and PMO development

• Coordinate resource forecasts and mobilisation priorities with project leaders and the PMO Manager.
• Review budget and forecast inputs with Finance and project owners, highlighting variances and supporting corrective planning.
• Track supplier and partner deliverables with procurement and contract owners, escalating delays or gaps.
• Guide analysts and project coordinators on reporting quality and PMO methods; improve tools using lessons learned.
• Develop and enforce PMO templates, reporting standards, and tooling across the portfolio.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in project management, business administration, engineering, economics, or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
• 4–6 years in PMO, project delivery, programme coordination, or consulting.
• Experience coordinating multiple workstreams and consolidating plans, performance reports, and governance records.
• Ability to assess delivery risks, dependencies, and change impacts and develop practical recommendations.
• Working knowledge of project financial monitoring, resource planning, and project management methodologies.
• Strong Excel, PowerPoint, and project planning skills; confident stakeholder engagement and professional English.
• Able to challenge information constructively, manage competing deadlines, and handle sensitive information discreetly.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience supporting strategic execution, international development, philanthropic, conservation, tourism, or other complex programmes is preferred.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or comparable project management certification, or progress toward certification, is preferred.
• Portfolio dashboards, Power BI, PMO process implementation, UAE or GCC experience, and Arabic are preferred.
