Role overview

Planning and project controls

• Develops contract programmes using contract documents, WBS structures, cost and resource loading, and project inputs.
• Supports portfolio management, project requests, and resource capacity planning.
• Supports feasibility and strategic planning and sets milestones across procurement, design, tender, and construction phases.
• Prepares resource plans using productivity rates and operational schedules based on site conditions.
• Produces and monitors daily, weekly, and monthly planning reports and KPIs.

Progress, risk, and claims

• Reports progress and critical planning issues and proposes mitigation actions for expected delays.
• Prepares delay analysis with the Commercial team for Extension of Time requests and claims.
• Follows up delays and supports formal correspondence to reserve contractual rights for claims.
• Coordinates with clients and consultants to avoid delays during project execution.
• Ensures the quality and approval of project controls procedures, schedules, cost reports, and reporting deliverables.
• Prepares the Project Controls Plan and supports development of project controls procedures.
• Leads or supports risk management activities, consolidates risk analysis, and monitors updates.

Coordination and performance analysis

• Coordinates with Finance on target sales, budget tracking, and invoicing.
• Supports contract reviews by collecting and analysing schedule, cost, and resource performance data.
• Supports basic Earned Value tracking and variance analysis to inform corrective actions.

Experience and education

• Minimum 4 years of project management experience.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in communications and control systems projects; international exposure is preferred.
• Experience in metro or railway systems, including communications and control, security, passenger information, and comfort systems.
• University degree in electronic, telecommunication, or computer engineering.
• Professional planning and scheduling certificates are preferred.

Technical and interpersonal skills

• Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6 and advanced MS Office skills.
• Strong knowledge of project management baselines and structures, including WBS, OBS, RAM, WPDDs, and PMB.
• Expertise in PERT, Critical Path, Schedule Risk Analysis, and schedule acceleration principles.
• Basic Earned Value tracking and cost and schedule variance analysis.
• Strong organisation, attention to detail, communication, coordination, leadership, and solution-oriented skills.
• Able to manage stakeholders and teams or resources without direct reporting lines.

Health, safety, and environment

• Ensure personal safety and the safety of others and comply with local HSE laws and company requirements.
• Use PPE and safety equipment as required; promote waste reduction, recycling, and energy and water conservation.
• Stop work and report immediately if an activity may affect health or safety.
