OCS Construction Manager – High-Speed Rail (Railway) Abu Dhabi, UAE

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage railway OCS construction and installation, including foundations, structures, masts, cantilevers, wires and tensioning systems.
• Plan methodologies, installation sequences and execution plans; coordinate work across construction fronts.
• Manage supervisors, engineers, technicians, specialist teams and subcontractors.
• Ensure OCS geometry, alignment, wire height, stagger and tension meet approved designs.
• Coordinate interfaces with track, civil works, structures, power supply and railway systems.
• Monitor progress, productivity, equipment and resources; verify drawings, method statements, inspection plans and quality requirements.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning readiness and energization support.
• Enforce electrical safety, working-at-height and construction HSE procedures; address risks, issues and delays.
• Support procurement planning, material availability, logistics and subcontractor coordination; report progress to senior project management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Railway Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Extensive railway electrification and OCS construction experience, including direct management of OCS installation on major railway infrastructure projects.
• Experience as an OCS Construction Manager, OCS Installation Manager, Electrification Construction Manager or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of 25 kV AC overhead electrification, OCS components, tolerances, tensioning, registration and system interfaces.
• Experience managing subcontractors, specialist teams and construction resources, and coordinating with track, structures, power supply and railway systems.
• Good knowledge of railway construction HSE, quality assurance and testing procedures.
• Professional fluency in English is mandatory.

Preferred experience

• High-Speed Rail project experience is strongly preferred.
• Middle East or other international major railway project experience is an advantage.

• The role is for a major High-Speed Rail infrastructure project in Abu Dhabi.
