Role Overview

Employment and Contract

• Employment is described as full-time for a six-month contract.

Experience and Qualifications

• The posting title identifies the role as Junior Accountant, while the description requires a minimum of five years of relevant professional accounting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, IFRS, and IFRS 16 lease accounting.
• Experience in month-end closing, financial reconciliations, financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• ERP experience such as Microsoft Dynamics NAV/Business Central, SAP, or Oracle Financials.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel, MS Office, and Google Workspace skills.
• Strong numerical accuracy, attention to detail, analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities; ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Industrial or project-based experience is preferred; professional accounting certification and UAE driving licence are advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify, allocate, record, and reconcile financial transactions; maintain accurate records under company policies and accounting standards.
• Assist with monthly and annual closing, and ensure reporting complies with IFRS and applicable local standards.
• Prepare and analyze financial information and summarize financial performance.
• Review and process petty cash transactions and expense claims.
• Maintain IFRS 16 lease records and tools and ensure accurate entries in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Assist with annual budgets and quarterly forecasts; support financial statements, balance sheets, and profit and loss reports.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and assist with location-based and activity-based analysis and cost allocation.
• Support compliance with procedures, internal controls, financial and tax regulations, external audits, and audit recommendations.
• Contribute to accounting and financial-control process improvements and coordinate with internal departments on financial records and transactions.
