Senior Financial Analyst - 6 months (Environmental Services) Dubai, UAE

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Support the CFO with daily finance operations and financial decision-making.
• Prepare, verify, and record transactions for assets, liabilities, and capital accounts; review monthly payroll records before payment.
• Ensure timely, accurate GAAP/IFRS reporting and manage IFRS 16 lease accounting.
• Assist with annual budgets and quarterly forecasts; own month-end closing and reporting.
• Review, validate, and consolidate financial information using corporate tools.
• Prepare and analyze balance sheets, profit and loss statements, management reports, and other financial statements.
• Reconcile balance sheets monthly, investigate discrepancies, and prepare profitability analyses and cost allocations by activity and location.
• Oversee tax provisions and deferred tax calculations; maintain internal controls and financial and tax compliance.
• Coordinate external audits and implement recommendations; improve procedures, reporting processes, and accounting controls.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports; guide finance team members and collaborate with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• CA, MBA in Finance, or equivalent qualification from an accredited institution.
• At least 7 years of relevant accounting, financial management, and financial reporting experience.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and IFRS 16 lease accounting.
• Experience in financial consolidation, budgeting, forecasting, and month-end closing.
• Knowledge of taxation, deferred tax accounting, and financial compliance.
• Experience with SAP, Oracle Financials, or Microsoft Dynamics NAV/Navision; advanced proficiency in Excel, MS Office, and Google Workspace.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills; ability to work independently, prioritize deadlines, and manage multiple activities.
• Industrial-environment experience is highly desirable; relevant finance certifications and a UAE driving licence are advantageous.

Contract details

• Six-month contract.
• Full-time, client-assigned position. Joining as soon as possible.
