Accountant role in the finance department of an industrial and environmental services organization.
Supports daily accounting operations, reporting, reconciliations, closing, budgeting, forecasting, and accounting-standard compliance.
Responsibilities
- Record, allocate, verify, and reconcile transactions; maintain complete accounting records.
- Support monthly and annual closes, financial statements, and monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Apply IFRS and local standards, including maintaining IFRS 16 lease records and related Business Central entries.
- Process petty cash, expense claims, budgets, forecasts, financial analysis, and cost allocation.
- Support audit activities, internal controls, regulatory compliance, and process improvements.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure financial records and transactions are accurate.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and at least 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Strong accounting, financial reporting, IFRS, and practical IFRS 16 knowledge.
- Experience with closing, reconciliations, financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
- ERP experience; Microsoft Dynamics NAV/Business Central, SAP, and Oracle Financials are listed as examples.
- Advanced Excel, MS Office, and Google Workspace skills.
Preferred qualifications
- Industrial or project-based experience is preferred.
- Professional accounting certification and UAE driving licence are advantageous.
Contract details
- Full-time, six-month contract.
- Client-assigned position; joining as soon as possible or on short notice is preferred.
