Role overview

Responsibilities

• Support the CFO with daily finance operations and financial decision-making; prepare, verify, and record asset, liability, and capital-account transactions.
• Review monthly payroll records before payment processing and ensure timely, accurate reporting under GAAP and IFRS, including IFRS 16 lease accounting.
• Assist with annual budgeting and quarterly forecasts; own month-end closing and financial reporting.
• Review, validate, and consolidate financial information using corporate tools.
• Prepare and analyze balance sheets, profit and loss statements, management reports, and other financial statements.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly and investigate discrepancies; prepare activity-based and location-based profitability analyses and cost allocations.
• Oversee tax provisions and deferred tax calculations; maintain internal controls and compliance with financial and tax regulations.
• Coordinate external audits, implement recommendations, improve finance procedures and controls, prepare periodic management reports, and support finance colleagues.

Qualifications and experience

• Chartered Accountant, MBA in Finance, or equivalent qualification from an accredited institution.
• At least seven years of relevant accounting, financial management, and financial reporting experience.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and IFRS 16 lease accounting.
• Experience in consolidation, budgeting, forecasting, and month-end closing; knowledge of taxation, deferred tax, and financial compliance.
• Experience with SAP, Oracle Financials, or Microsoft Dynamics NAV/Navision; advanced Microsoft Excel, MS Office, and Google Workspace proficiency.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills; able to work independently and manage deadlines and multiple finance activities.
• Industrial-environment experience is highly desirable. Relevant professional finance certifications and a UAE driving licence are advantageous.
