Role overview

The Planning Engineer supports timely delivery of major roads, highways, bridges, and infrastructure projects.

Experience in KSA, particularly in PMC and construction supervision environments, is preferred.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, and monitor progress using industry-standard tools, including Primavera P6 and TILOS.
  • Manage baseline programs, track targets, flag delays, and identify out-of-sequence activities in contractor schedules.
  • Coordinate schedules with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, consultants, actual site progress, and contractual milestones.
  • Conduct delay analysis and time impact assessments to support claims and contractual discussions.
  • Prepare dashboards, weekly and monthly progress reports, and schedule forecasts for stakeholders.
  • Apply contract time clauses and project records when analyzing claims and preparing claim documentation.

Competencies and tools

  • Use Primavera P6 and TILOS for planning and scheduling linear infrastructure projects.
  • Use Aconex for document and communication management; familiarity is stated.
  • Use Safran Risk (Monte Carlo) for quantitative schedule risk analysis; familiarity is stated.
  • Use Power BI for data visualization and performance tracking; the role calls for its use in reporting.
  • Apply contract administration knowledge, contract forms, EOT claim methods, and time impact analysis.

Qualifications and skills

  • Over 12 years of experience and a Civil degree.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience using project management and reporting tools.
