About SDV Consulting Engineers

Provides engineering, project management, and project development services, including FEED, EPCM, PMC, commissioning, and advisory services.

Works primarily in manufacturing and processing, energy, hydrogen plants, cold stores, and specialty facilities.

Role overview

Full-time, on-site Planning Engineer role based in Abu Dhabi.

Develops and manages project plans, monitors progress and schedules, implements project controls, analyzes data, and communicates updates.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6; monitor contractor and subcontractor progress.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports with graphs and critical path analysis.
  • Identify delays, deviations, and risks, and recommend corrective actions to clients and management.
  • Conduct site visits to verify progress and schedule compliance; support delay analysis, claims assessment, and variation evaluations.
  • Coordinate with project teams, clients, and contractors to support timely communication.
  • Maintain schedules, reports, and supporting documentation for project audits and closeout.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and proficiency in Primavera P6.
  • At least 10 years of construction experience, including at least five years in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
  • Experience working in an engineering consultancy; mega-project experience is highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Must currently be in the UAE and hold a UAE driving licence.
