Develops, monitors, and controls project schedules to support successful project execution in line with company procedures, client requirements, and project objectives.
Planning and scheduling duties
- Develop scheduling processes based on project scope, client requirements, and company procedures.
- Prepare and maintain master schedules and identify milestones for project completion.
- Create WBS-based schedules and allocate labor, equipment, and costs to activities.
- Coordinate schedule review and approval with project teams.
- Set regular schedule update cycles for accurate and timely reporting.
- Monitor progress against planned schedules and assess actual performance.
- Record, evaluate, and communicate schedule-change impacts.
- Analyze trends and risks, recommend corrective action, and mitigate delays.
- Revise plans through re-planning and re-baselining when required.
- Prepare progress reports, dashboards, and planning documents for management and clients.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Project Management teams to align schedules and execution.
- Follow company project management guidelines, procedures, and client requirements.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline.
- At least 10 years of relevant project planning and scheduling experience.
- PMP certification is preferred.
- Experience in EPC, fabrication, marine, construction, or oil and gas is preferred.
Skills and tools
- Knowledge of project planning principles, scheduling methodologies, WBS, resource planning, progress monitoring, and risk analysis.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills; ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Office, and ERP software.
