Role overview

Planning and project controls

• Oversee project planning and scheduling across large-scale power or renewable projects.
• Review and challenge EPC baseline schedules, Level 3 and Level 4 schedules, critical paths, milestones, and forecasts.
• Monitor progress, identify delays and risks, evaluate recovery plans, and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with EPC contracts, PPAs, and Owner project-control requirements.
• Review control plans, WBS, progress curves, reporting systems, and schedule updates.
• Coordinate with project companies, EPC contractors, and engineering stakeholders on progress and resources.
• Participate in planning meetings, progress reviews, and site assessments; escalate risks and contractual issues.

Risk, claims, and reporting

• Analyze schedule impacts arising from project changes, delays, and variations.
• Monitor EOT submissions and potential schedule-related disputes.
• Review EPC progress reports and prepare management updates on performance, milestones, risks, and recovery actions.
• Support schedule-risk mitigation and coordinate project-controls governance with Project Management, Engineering, and Commercial teams.

General qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• 10+ years in planning, scheduling, and project controls for large-scale energy or infrastructure projects.
• At least 6 years of power-generation experience and two fully completed projects.
• EPC-side experience is mandatory; Owner, Developer, or IPP experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong project-planning, critical-path, schedule-management, progress-monitoring, contractor-evaluation, contractual, risk, and reporting knowledge.
• Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder-management, and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently and manage priorities.
• Ability to conduct project site assessments.

CCGT position

• Experience in large-scale CCGT power-generation projects of 500 MW or more.
• Expertise in EPC planning, scheduling, and construction-phase controls; delay analysis, EOT, forensic schedule analysis, and claims support.
• Experience with schedule quality reviews, critical-path assessments, and recovery schedules.
• Knowledge of quantitative Schedule Risk Analysis, including Monte Carlo techniques and risk-adjusted forecasting.
• IPP experience; Owner or Developer exposure is preferred.

Renewable energy position

• Experience in large-scale solar PV power projects of 500 MW or more, with BESS exposure.
• Strong EPC-side planning, scheduling, and project-controls experience during construction and execution.
• Experience reviewing baseline schedules, critical paths, milestones, and recovery plans.
• Knowledge of renewable project development, construction, commissioning, and handover.

Preferred certifications

• PMP (Project Management Professional) is preferred.
• PMI-SP (Scheduling Professional) is preferred.
• AACE Planning & Scheduling Professional (PSP) is preferred.
