Asset Manager(Utilities)

Opportunity

Work arrangement

• The role is fully in office in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
• Industry: power generation, utilities, and energy infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Represent the owner or shareholder and monitor commercial, financial, operational, HSE, and project performance.
• Prepare monthly asset-performance reports and review progress against budgets, contracts, milestones, and KPIs.
• Oversee PPA/PWPA and other agreements; review financial models, cash flow, budgets, financial statements, and asset performance.
• Support transition from construction and commissioning into operations and mobilization of the O&M organization.
• Monitor risks, contractual obligations, and mitigations; coordinate with internal teams, operating companies, partners, and contractors.
• Provide management and shareholder reporting, analysis, and recommendations.

Candidate requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or civil engineering, finance, economics, or a related discipline.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience in utilities, power generation, energy infrastructure, and/or construction; strong power or utilities asset-management experience.
• Good knowledge of PPA/PWPA arrangements and major project agreements; strong commercial and contract-management capability.
• Ability to interpret financial models and relate them to cash flow, budgets, and financial performance; experience managing internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills; available to join within a maximum of one month.

Preferred experience

• IPP/IWPP experience and understanding of commercial and contractual power-project structures are strongly preferred.
• Developer-, owner-, or shareholder-side experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Gas-fired or conventional power experience is strongly preferred; relevant experience across other generation technologies may also be considered.
