Painting and surface work
- Apply paint, varnish, and finishes to hotel walls, ceilings, and furniture using brushes, sprays, or rollers.
- Apply primer or filler to prepare surfaces for finishing coats.
- Remove old coatings using stripping, sanding, wire brushing, burning, sandblasting, and/or water.
- Protect surfaces during painting and place appropriate warning signs.
Equipment and coordination
- Clean and store paint, tools, and equipment in designated areas.
- Communicate with suppliers to adjust paint, stain, or varnish colors.
Safety, service, and conduct
- Follow safety and security policies; report maintenance issues, hazards, accidents, and injuries; complete safety training and certifications.
- Maintain a clean, complete uniform and professional appearance, protect company property, and keep company and hotel information confidential.
- Welcome guests, anticipate and respond to their needs, assist people with disabilities, and thank guests warmly.
- Communicate clearly and courteously, cooperate with colleagues, and meet quality standards.
- Perform other duties requested by managers that are consistent with the position.
Recommended qualifications and physical demands
- At least one year of related work experience is recommended; no supervisory experience or specific certification is listed.
- A diploma from a technical, trade, or vocational institution is recommended.
- Able to climb ladders and perform extended periods of standing, sitting, and movement.
- Able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place loads up to 23 kg independently; the work also involves bending, turning, kneeling, reaching, and handling varied loads.
