The Painter applies and maintains finishes on hotel walls, ceilings, and furniture.
The position is full-time, non-management, and not remote.
Painting and maintenance duties
- Apply paint, stains, and other finishes using brushes, spray guns, or rollers.
- Prepare new surfaces with primers or sealers and remove old finishes using appropriate methods.
- Protect surfaces during painting and mark freshly painted areas with signs.
- Clean and store paint, tools, and equipment; coordinate with suppliers on finish colors.
- Follow safety and company procedures; report maintenance issues, hazards, accidents, or injuries.
- Complete safety training and certifications, support team goals, and meet quality standards.
- Welcome guests, respond to service needs, assist people with disabilities, and communicate professionally.
- Maintain a professional appearance, protect company property, and keep proprietary information confidential.
- Perform other reasonable duties requested by supervisors.
Desired qualifications and physical requirements
- At least 1 year of related work experience is desirable.
- A technical, trade, or vocational school degree is desirable; supervisory experience is not required.
- Able to climb ladders and move, lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Able to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and bend, reach, twist, and handle objects of different sizes and weights.
- No license or certification is specified as required.
