Painting and polishing duties
- Maintain the hotel's interior and exterior surfaces to support its appearance and cleanliness standards.
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, scraping, sanding, and applying primer as needed.
- Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes with brushes, rollers, or sprayers, using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Polish wood, metal, glass, and other surfaces to restore shine and remove imperfections.
- Mix paints and stains to match existing colors or specified schemes, and keep records of colors and finishes used.
- Repair minor cracks, holes, and scratches; coordinate more extensive repairs with the maintenance team.
- Follow safety procedures when handling paints, solvents, and equipment, including ventilation and personal protective equipment.
- Inspect, clean, and perform minor repairs on painting and polishing equipment.
- Inspect finished surfaces against quality standards and specifications, and touch up areas as needed.
- Manage time and coordinate projects with other departments to meet deadlines and minimize disruption to hotel operations.
- Communicate project requirements, progress, and issues to supervisors and colleagues.
