Commis 3 – Bakery role in the Culinary department in Dubai.
The role is based in a hotel kitchen and focuses on culinary preparation, presentation, and food safety.
Compensation
- Fixed monthly salary of AED 1,000.
Requirements and qualifications
- Proven experience as a Commis 3 or in a similar role in a luxury hotel or fine-dining restaurant.
- A culinary degree or equivalent qualification is preferred.
- Pre-opening experience establishing kitchen operations is advantageous.
- Demonstrated culinary basics, including knife skills, cooking methods, and ingredient preparation.
- Familiarity with safe kitchen equipment use and maintenance.
- Knowledge of HACCP, health and safety regulations, food hygiene standards, and restaurant practices.
- Positive attitude, passion for culinary arts, and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and present dishes to meet culinary standards and enhance guests' dining experience.
- Assist senior chefs with culinary creations and contribute to menu development, flavours, and presentation.
- Maintain mise en place, stock rotation, clean workstations, and organized equipment.
- Complete assigned kitchen tasks accurately and efficiently; uphold food safety and hygiene practices.
- Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to a positive, productive kitchen environment.
Schedule
- Work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays, based on hotel requirements.
