Compensation
- Fixed salary of AED 1,200 per month.
Requirements and qualifications
- Proven Commis 2 or similar experience in a luxury hotel or fine-dining restaurant.
- A culinary degree or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory.
- Pre-opening kitchen setup experience is sought.
- Food preparation, presentation, and plating proficiency is expected.
- Knowledge of international cuisine, culinary techniques, and contemporary food trends is expected.
- Candidates should follow instructions accurately, work under pressure, and communicate effectively.
- Knowledge of HACCP, health and safety regulations, food hygiene, and restaurant operations is required.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, is required.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and present dishes to culinary standards and support senior chefs with food production and service.
- Manage mise en place and stock rotation; complete assigned tasks promptly.
- Contribute ideas to menu development and new dishes.
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards and collaborate with kitchen colleagues.
- Stay up to date with culinary practices, techniques, and trends.
