Outbound Selector

JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities

• Order Selection:
• Palletize and effectively organize finished products.
• Organize finish product cooler and put away at the end of production.
• Vigilantly monitor product quality.
• Coordinate with other workstations to ensure order competition.
• Put away finish product and raw material at the end of the shift.
• Complies with Sysco’s Food Safety Policy and procedures to ensure food safety, quality and legality requirements are met.
• Is willing to work safely with minimal environmental impact and understands the importance of reporting all hazards, incidents, and environmental spills immediately to their Supervisor.
• Understands that they play an integral role in their own safety and that of their colleagues and is willing to speak out when hazards are present.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Equipment Operation: Safely and efficiently operate material handling equipment such as electric pallet jacks, order pickers, and voice-directed picking systems. Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately. Teamwork: May assist in training new selectors on safe work practices and order selection procedures. Collaborate with other warehouse personnel to ensure smooth and efficient warehouse operations.

Skills

• Order Selection: Proven ability to accurately and efficiently select orders with minimal errors. Attention to Detail : Strong attention to detail and accuracy when selecting and staging orders. Safety Awareness : Strong awareness of safety procedures and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements

• Repetitive lifting from 5 lb to 50 lb (50%).
• Organize products including transportation by pallet jack in production area and wrapping pallet (50%).
• Noisy environment, hearing protection provided.
• Cold environment (1 to 7 degrees Celsius, 100%)
• May require operating food processing machinery, Rider, Manual pallet jack.
