Operations - Freight Forwarding

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Handle daily freight forwarding operations for sea, air, and land shipments.
• Coordinate shipment execution with shipping lines, airlines, transporters, overseas agents, customers, and internal departments.
• Prepare and verify Bills of Lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, delivery orders, and customs-related documents.
• Track shipments, update stakeholders, arrange carrier bookings, and monitor vessel and flight schedules.
• Coordinate customs clearance and transportation requirements where applicable.
• Enter data accurately in the operating system, resolve shipment issues, and communicate delays or exceptions.
• Liaise with overseas agents on rate confirmations, shipment updates, and operational requirements.
• Comply with company procedures and international shipping regulations; maintain shipment records and files.
• Support sales with operational expertise and customer service requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
• At least 2 years of freight forwarding or logistics operations experience.
• At least 1 year of liner/NVOCC experience.
• Working knowledge of ocean freight, air freight, and customs clearance procedures.
• Familiarity with shipping documentation and freight forwarding processes.
• Strong communication and coordination skills; ability to manage multiple shipments and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
• Freight forwarding software or ERP experience is advantageous.
• Knowledge of UAE import/export procedures is preferred; customer orientation, problem-solving, independence, composure under pressure, attention to detail, and organization are preferred.
• UAE driver’s license required.

Compensation

• Pay starts at AED 3,000 per month.

• Work is in person.
