The Business Development Executive works in the liner division of the liner agency.
The role is target-oriented and calls for local market experience and an active customer base of freight forwarders and direct customers.

Responsibilities and profile
- Meet weekly customer-visit expectations and submit daily and weekly reports.
- Monitor market developments and identify new players in different industries.
- Track competitors, new market entrants, new services, and changes to existing services.
- Maintain an updated database and prepare ad hoc reports for management and the principal when requested.
- Secure new customers on a fortnightly basis.
- Initiate and close sales and foster long-term customer relationships.
- Meet weekly success targets.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of local market experience.
- An active potential customer base of freight forwarders and direct customers.
- At least 1 year of liner or NVOCC experience.
- UAE driver's licence is required.
- Good written and spoken English.
- One or two local languages, such as Hindi, Arabic, or Malayalam, are preferred.
- Proactive, target-oriented, and able to initiate and close sales; relationship-building, teamwork, and willingness to learn are expected.
- Able to use digital tools for reporting, review, analysis, and tactical targeting.
Pay
- Pay starts at AED 4,000 per month.
