Job purpose
Support the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and Operational Risk Management (ORM) function in identifying, assessing, monitoring, and mitigating organizational risks.
Support risk appetite monitoring, New Product Approvals, outsourcing and third-party risk management, operational risk activities, and a strong risk-aware culture.
Risk management responsibilities
- Support implementation of the ERM framework in alignment with organizational risk categories, appetite, and tolerance levels.
- Work with business units to identify risks, including outsourcing and third-party risks through vendor risk management programs.
- Evaluate risks using standard qualitative and quantitative assessment techniques.
- Review compliance with risk policies, procedures, and guidelines; conduct periodic reviews for alignment with organizational objectives.
- Coordinate the New Product Approval process with stakeholders, aligning proposals with risk appetite and identifying risks throughout the product lifecycle.
- Monitor enterprise risk exposures and incidents, track Key Risk Indicators, and assist with escalation of breaches.
- Prepare management reports summarizing key risks, trends, and mitigation actions.
- Support analysis of operational risk events and follow-up of mitigation plans.
- Review business processes and SOPs for risks and recommend control enhancements.
- Assess operational risks associated with new business lines and products.
- Coordinate Risk and Control Self-Assessment exercises and follow up on remediation actions.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Risk Management, Banking, or a related field.
- At least 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in ERM, ORM, or a related risk function.
- A master's degree is an advantage but is not required.
- FRM, CFA, or equivalent professional certification is an advantage.
