Role summary

Clinical and patient care

• Assist with dermatologic and aesthetic procedures such as biopsies, laser treatments, chemical peels, and cryotherapy.
• Prepare patients for exams and procedures, position them, and explain steps to reduce anxiety.
• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and supplies using infection-control protocols.
• Provide supervised wound care, dressing changes, and post-procedure care.
• Monitor patient comfort and report concerns or reactions to the supervising nurse or physician.
• Provide directed education on skincare, treatment aftercare, and medication use; assist with intake, medical histories, and vital signs.

Administrative and operational duties

• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation; manage dermatology supply inventory and proper storage.
• Assist with scheduling, patient flow, and follow-up appointment coordination.
• Comply with clinic policies, safety standards, and confidentiality requirements.

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) or equivalent qualification; a Nursing Assistant Certificate is required.
• Two years of dermatology experience is required.
• Previous dermatology, cosmetic, or aesthetic clinic experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of dermatologic procedures, tools, and skincare products is advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Patient-centered professionalism, teamwork, and adaptability.
