Responsibilities
- Greet and assist patients, visitors, and staff; schedule, confirm, and manage appointments.
- Register patients and verify personal, medical, and insurance information; maintain accurate electronic medical records.
- Handle calls, inquiries, and referrals, and coordinate with clinical teams to support patient flow.
- Process billing information, co-payments, and insurance documents when required; follow HIPAA and hospital privacy policies.
- Maintain an organized reception area and assist with filing, scanning, and data entry.
Requirements
- Two years of dental and dermatology experience is required.
- Previous receptionist experience in a hospital, clinic, or medical center.
- Diploma or certification in Medical Administration, Healthcare, or a related field.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures; strong interpersonal, organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
- Preferred: experience with insurance verification and medical billing, multilingual abilities, and patient-centered customer service.
Work schedule
- Work may include shifts on evenings, weekends, or holidays.
Work environment
- Hospital or medical center setting; work is in person in Abu Dhabi.
