Job Summary

General Accounting

• Maintain accurate accounting records, financial transactions, general ledgers, and subsidiary ledgers.
• Record daily income, expenses, receipts, payments, journal entries, and other accounting transactions.
• Perform bank, cash, credit card, and other account reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly and annual financial reports and support month-end and year-end closing.
• Monitor cash flow and maintain accurate cash records.
• Ensure proper filing and documentation of financial transactions.

Accounts Receivable and Payable

• Monitor patient, corporate, and insurance receivables and follow up on outstanding invoices and overdue balances.
• Prepare aging reports and reconcile insurance claims and payments with accounting records.
• Coordinate with medical billing and insurance teams to resolve discrepancies and rejected claims.
• Verify supplier invoices against purchase orders, delivery notes, and supporting documents.
• Process supplier payments, reconcile supplier statements, and monitor payment schedules.

UAE VAT and Compliance

• Maintain records required for UAE VAT compliance and assist with VAT-related reports and documentation.
• Ensure transactions are recorded according to applicable UAE tax requirements.
• Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and management and support financial and tax audits.

Medical Center Duties

• Reconcile daily collections from reception, cashiers, POS terminals, online payments, and bank deposits.
• Monitor revenue from consultations, procedures, laboratory services, pharmacy, and other medical services.
• Reconcile insurance claims, approvals, settlements, deductions, and rejected claims.
• Track doctor or consultant revenue and commissions where applicable.
• Review discrepancies between the medical billing system and accounting system.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial and patient-related information.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field is required.
• Two to four years of accounting experience is required, preferably in a UAE healthcare organization.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, UAE VAT, and accounting requirements is required.
• Experience with accounting software or Zoho systems and strong Microsoft Excel skills are required.
• ACCA, CMA, CPA, or an equivalent professional qualification is advantageous.
• Healthcare billing and insurance reconciliation experience is highly desirable.

Working Conditions

• The position is primarily office-based within the medical center and requires coordination with management, clinical staff, billing teams, suppliers, banks, auditors, and external providers.
• Work location is in person in Abu Dhabi.
