Role overview
The Site Nurse provides medical care and first aid to employees at construction sites, responds to emergencies, monitors worker health, and supports occupational health and safety compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Provide first aid and basic medical care for workplace injuries, illnesses, and emergencies.
- Assess employee health and coordinate hospital referrals when necessary.
- Respond to site accidents and medical emergencies with the HSE team.
- Maintain accurate medical records, treatment logs, and incident reports.
- Keep the site clinic stocked with medical supplies and first-aid equipment.
- Monitor worker health and support occupational health awareness.
- Coordinate with hospitals, ambulance services, and medical providers.
- Handle and dispose of medical waste properly.
- Support implementation of site health and safety procedures with the HSE team.
- Keep employee medical information confidential.
Job requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Valid DOH Abu Dhabi nursing license or eligibility, as applicable.
- Previous construction-industry Site Nurse experience.
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Knowledge of first aid, emergency response, and occupational health and safety.
- Strong communication, reporting, and emergency management skills; able to work effectively at a construction site.
