Manage the quantity surveying function, including cost control, budgeting, contract administration, variations, and commercial management across construction projects.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and review BOQs and cost estimates, and perform quantity take-offs from drawings.
- Support project budgets, cost reports, payment applications, and subcontractor valuations.
- Monitor project costs and assist with keeping projects within budget.
- Prepare variation orders and claims, and review drawings, specifications, and BOQs for discrepancies.
- Assist with tender pricing, commercial comparisons, contract administration, and documentation.
- Maintain records of costs, quantities, payments, and variations.
- Coordinate with Procurement, Planning, Engineering, and Site teams.
- Support the Senior QS or QS Manager in commercial and contractual activities.
Job Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor or QS Engineer.
- UAE construction experience is mandatory.
- Experience in construction projects is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of BOQs, quantity take-offs, estimation, and cost control.
- Basic understanding of variations, claims, payments, and subcontractor valuations.
- Basic knowledge of FIDIC contracts is a plus.
- Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
- Good analytical, numerical, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- Good English communication skills.
