A Network Engineer is sought to design, implement, maintain, and support the company’s growing network infrastructure.
The role includes developing scalable, maintainable, highly available network architectures aligned with business objectives and SLAs, along with NOC activities.
Network design and support
- Design, configure, and deploy LAN, WLAN, WAN, and NAC networks; monitor performance, availability, and reliability.
- Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in coordination with the security team.
- Visit sites for new deployments and installations, and provide on-site support as needed.
- Perform maintenance and upgrades, including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations.
- Troubleshoot network and connectivity issues and provide Level 2/3 support.
- Monitor availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency, and test for weaknesses.
- Follow configuration and change-management policies for network infrastructure changes.
- Conduct NOC monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization; maintain technical documentation and report performance, issues, and system logs.
Qualifications and experience
- At least 7 years of IT network work experience and proven experience as a Network Engineer or Network Administrator.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- CCNA and CCNP certifications are mandatory; CCIE is an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, and switching, including examples such as BGP, OSPF, VLAN, VRF, MPLS, STP, and VTP.
- Experience with Cisco products and hands-on networking hardware, including routers, switches, WLC, AP, ISE, and DNA Center.
- Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools such as DNA Center, SolarWinds, Cisco Prime, or Wireshark.
