Supports menu planning, maintains sanitation standards, assists the floor team during peak periods, and works to improve guest and employee satisfaction and financial performance.
Education and experience
- Pathway 1: High school diploma or GED and 4 years of experience in food and beverage, culinary, or a related professional area.
- Pathway 2: A 2-year degree in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related major, plus 2 years of related professional experience.
Operations and team leadership
- Manage daily operations, supervise employees, maintain service and sanitation standards, and review staffing levels.
- Train, coach, mentor, and develop employees; set performance expectations and support productivity.
- Ensure compliance with food and beverage policies, applicable laws, food-handling and sanitation standards, and liquor laws.
- Lead by example, build collaborative relationships, and organize departmental goals and work plans.
Guest service and financial duties
- Deliver and improve guest service, address complaints, gather feedback, and take corrective action to improve satisfaction.
- Assist servers and hosts during busy meal periods and oversee service from guest arrival through departure.
- Oversee departmental purchasing and invoice payments and support financial decision-making.
- Supervise daily shift operations when the Assistant Restaurant Manager is absent.

- Full-time schedule.
