MEP Site Engineer(Electrical Background)

Role overview

Site execution and coordination

• Supervise MEP site activities, primarily electrical works, and manage daily installation, testing, inspection, and commissioning.
• Review approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project requirements; coordinate electrical works with civil, structural, mechanical, architectural, and other MEP disciplines.
• Monitor progress against project schedules and coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and project teams.
• Inspect workmanship and compliance; identify site issues, clashes, and technical problems and coordinate timely resolution.

Quality, materials, and handover

• Review shop drawings, material submittals, technical documents, and installation details; coordinate consultant inspections and approvals.
• Implement approved method statements, ITPs, quality requirements, HSE requirements, and safe working practices.
• Monitor material requirements, deliveries, storage, and availability at site; prepare site reports, inspection records, progress updates, and technical documentation.
• Support testing, commissioning, snagging, handover, coordination meetings, and delivery within quality, cost, and schedule parameters.

Required qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 8 years of relevant MEP/electrical site engineering experience, including at least 4 years on industrial projects.
• Contracting experience is required.
• Strong knowledge of electrical installation, site execution, testing, and commissioning.
• Experience coordinating electrical works with MEP and construction disciplines; ability to interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Knowledge of construction practices, quality requirements, site coordination, and ability to manage site activities and coordinate subcontractors and project teams.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• At least 4 years of Abu Dhabi project experience is listed in the posting’s experience details.

Preferred qualifications

• UAE experience is highly preferred.
• Immediate joiners are strongly preferred.
